Carlos was the 21 year old son of Guanajuato, Mexico natives Carlos Ramirez (El Mezquite) and Maria Solis (Cilao) of El Paso Co., Texas.

CARLOS B. RAMIREZ
b: 1932 El Paso, Texas

Private Ramirez was a member of the 32nd Infantry Regiment - 7th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in North Korea on July 20, 1953 and died of those wounds later that day. Private Ramirez was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
