Nan Allyn Thompson, 46, Hopedale, Ill., formerley of Gibson City, Ill., died Saturday, Feb. 22, 1997, at Hopedale Medical Complex of natural causes.
Mrs. Thompson was born Dec. 5, 1950, in Moline, the daughter of Allyn H. and Berneita D. Swiger Hunter. She married Terry Thompson on May 27, 1972 in Geneseo.
She graduated from Geneseo High School in 1969. She attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New york City. She received an associate's degree in nursing from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tenn., in 1979.
She worked for Lafollet, Tenn., Hopspital from 1979 to 1986. She worked for Heartland health Care Center in Paxton, Ill., from 1987 to 1996. She worked at Hopedale Medical Complex Home Health Service from 1996 to present.
She moved to Hopedale from Gibson City on June 17, 1996.
She was past president of the Gibson Community Hospital Ausiliary and past chairman of its Scholarship Committee and was a member of First Christian Church, Gibson city.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Thompson, Hopedale; daughters, Claire Thompson, Rutledge, Pa., and Sarah Thompson, Hopedale; a son, Mathew Thompson, Hopedale; her parents, Moline; a brother, Barry Hunter, Geneseo; a sister, Lynn Daniels, Brown Deer, Wis.; and her maternal grandmother, Olive Swiger, Geneseo. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
