The widow of the late John B. Porter, she was a native of Winn Parish and a member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Old Union Baptist Church with the Dr. Roy Norton officiating, assisted by the Rev. Billy Smithart. Burial was in the Old Union Cemetery near Winnfield.
Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Silas Creel of Joyce, Mrs. Johnny Herboldsheimer of Taft, Calif., Mrs. Rosehanna Motsinger of Winston-Salem, N.C., Mrs. Marcelle Dempsey of New Iberia, Mrs. Faye Parker of Winnfield, Mrs. Raye Turner of Shreveport, Mrs. Mary Docia Gerace of Elliott City, Maryland; one sister, Mrs. Audie Staup of Homewood, Ill., 28 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
