Services for Mary E. Brooks, 83, of Hickory will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Wayne Berry officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Brooks died at 9:40 p.m. Sunday at Lourdes hospital.
She was a member of Southland Baptist Temple and was retired from Roman Ceramics in Mayfield.
Surviving are two daughters, June Mitchell of Hickory and Dixie Downs of Paducah; three sons, Ronnie Joyce of Paducah, Terry Brooks of Arlington, Texas, and Jerry Brooks of Akron, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry B. Brooks; one sister; and three brothers. Her parents were Sherman J. and Nannie Lee Franklin Crump.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
