Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia Lee Smith, age 94, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, January 26, 2009 in the Lincoln Care Center will be conducted on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Clardy & Rev. Edward Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery beside her husband: Connie Smith who died in 1982.
Mrs. Smith was a native of Lincoln County, TN, the daughter of the late Blake & Mattie Bowling Taft. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition her husband & parents Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by 2 daughters: Gay Gilbert & Brenda Flowers; 4 brothers: Cecil, Raymond, Claude, & Sloan Milliken; 2 infants: Martha Edna & Goodrich Smith, 2 granddaughters: Joyce Ann Durham & Kim Pfeifer. She is survived by 2 daughters: Jean Curtis of Hazel Green, AL, and Ann Durham of Estill Springs, TN; 5 sons: George Smith of Ellington, IN, Robert "Bobby " Smith of Flintville, TN, Jimmy Smith of Nashville, TN, Edward Smith of Bloomfield, IN, Jack Smith of Fayetteville, TN; 1 sister: Martha Patrick of Fayetteville, TN; 30 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren.
