Funeral services for Daniel Wm. Mayne, 56 years old, who died suddenly from a heart attack, at Ash Peak, near Duncan Monday night, will be held from the chapel of the Jones Funeral Home this afternoon at 5:30 o'clock.
The Rev. W.F. Fulton will conduct the services at the chapel followed by graveside services by the American Legion. Burial will be in the family plot of the Odd Fellows in Globe cemetery.
A miner by occupation Mr. Mayne with Wm. Motter had been operating the Ash Peak lease near Duncan for the past two years. He had been in excellent health and had worked Monday when he took suddenly ill after dinner and passed away before a physician could summoned.
Born May 22, 1887, at Azusa Canyon, California, he came to Globe at an early age and resided her continuously until a few years ago when his work took him to other parts of Arizona. His wife, Mrs. Emma Mayne, died here Jan. 25, 1940. He is survived by his father, Dick Mayne, Warren; a daughter, Mrs. Edith Keyser, California; a stepson and stepdaughter, Jack Berry and Agnes Barry, Phoenix; five brothers, Ralph, Miami, Everet and Lester of globe, Arthur, California; Harry Richard, Ft. Huachuca; a sister, Mrs. Zoa Patton, Tustin, Calif.
He was a veteran of the last World War and a member of Henry Berry Post, American Legion.
