Clarson Allison

New Cumberland -- Clarson (Clarence) A. Allison, 85, of Ridge Rd. died Friday at 5:50 p.m. at Weirton General Hospital, where he had been a patient for a week. He was born Dec. 25, 1872, in Hancock County, a son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Govey Allison. A retired clay miner, he was employed last at Acme Fireclay Co. He attended the Nazarene Church. Survivors include two sons, Kelsie Allison of Empire and Harry Allison of New Cumberland R.D. 1; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Rosso, Jr. of Titusville, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Emma Deyarmon of Dillonvale, and 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Stewart & Turley Funeral Home in New Cumberland by the Rev. George Stewart. Burial will be in Flats Cemetery at Pughtown. Friends will be received at the funeral home tonight and Sunday.
