Raymond V. Pate, age 82, of Athens died Monday, December 7, 1998.
He was born on April 14, 1916 at Athens, the son of William D. Pate and Minnie Bell Hood Pate.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Erna White Pate, on June 1, 1996. He was also preceded in death by his son, Darrel Pate and by an infant son.
He is survived by his son, Ronald Pate of Athens, his sister, Nola Fair of DeQueen and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 10, 1998 in the Mt. Zion Church at Athens with Bro. Larry Davis and Bro. Orville Miller officiating.
Interment was in the Athens Cemetery.
