John was my cousin, and my friend. He was the kind of person that would help anybody at any time.At his funeral service the Pastor asked how many people here at one time or another did John come to your house to fix somthing. You should have seen all the hands go up.John also had nick names for everybody.I had one for him as well.Every since I was a little kid I called him Boodie.I don't know why.I asked him a few years ago why I called him that.He said Patty I'm not realy sure. But you are the only one that can call me that and get away with it.We just laughed.John found out he had a cancer about two or three weeks before he died.It was a real shock to us all.January 20th I got to see Boodie for the last time.and I tell ya it just broke my heart to see him that way.I told him I loved him so much and please do not leave me.He said he loved me too,and he was not going any where.Bless his heart if he could have stayed he would have. But God wanted him to come home. The same day after we left Paster Miller came to see him and he recieved Jesus Christ as his savoir.I will always be so gratefull to Pastor for that.John's hobbies were carpentry, fishing, walking.cooking and spending time with friends and family.I will miss his cooking. And boy could he BBQ.Anytime we had a birthday party or just family wanting to just hang out he would BBQ.Summer's will never be the same again without him.John had one sweet daughter Tynisha Knox and a grandaughter Tyniah Miles both of Indianapolis.IN.Seven siblings;Beatrice Hunter,Orville Buford,Sylvia Gibson,Phyllis Cunningham,Janet Bell,Marilyn Howard and Dorothy Jean Buford.John was preceded in dealth by his parents and brother,Clifford Buford.John was loved by many, many people. He will be missed.
