Esther B. Smith of 1306 18th St., died at 10:40 p.m. yesterday, Nov. 18, 1974, in Hillview Nursing Home after an extended illness. she was born in Royalton, Ohio, April 29, 1893, the daughter of Sylvanus and Malinda(Fausnaugh)Young.

She was married twice. On Oct. 14, 1911, at Royalton, to Wesley E. Kinser, who died Jan. 1, 1961, and to Samuel H. Smith, who is also deceased.

Surviving are five children, Mrs. Florence Lockard of Washington Courthouse, Ohio, and Alvin E., Leonard C., Mrs. Margaret Miller, and Mrs. Mary V. Folk all of Altoona; 20 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints.

Friends will be received in the Warren H. Replogle funeral Home form 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
