Kenneth Newsom, 65, of Snyder formerly of Big Spring died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, in a Snyder nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, at the Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel with Wade Cobb, associate pastor of Cornerstone Fellowship, officiating.



He was born June 20, 1943, in Big Spring.

Kenneth grew up in Big Spring and graduated from Big Spring High School. He had worked for Brown and Root for a number of years and then worked internationally as a consultant. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include two daughters, Rachel Newsom and Emily Newsom both of Houston; four sisters, Juanita Adams and Nancy Phernetton both of Big Spring, Pennie Lemire of Sacramento, Calif., and Marilyn Grigg of Houston; four brothers, Jim Newsom and Tommy Newsom both of Big Spring, Bob Newsom of Midland, and Donald Newsom of Amarillo; and numerous neices and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
