According to other family history records birth occurred between 1844 to 1846 with death being in 1917.

Jonathan Anderson born Aug 27, 1844 died Dec 2, 1878. Burial Pleasant Grove Cemetery Shelby County Texas. Married to a Martha Noel. Only 2 Children from this union. Sarah Ann Anderson Eddins,and James Perry Anderson. The burial of Martha is unknown at this time. John Anderson is buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with 2nd. wife Lizzie Denby. John's first wife was Martha Henderson. She is buried in the Old Eddins/Anderson Cemetery. Jonathan had a nick name of Chain Anderson. On the tombstone of J.H. Anderson there is a large hand at the top holding a CHAIN with the index finger pointing down to the grave. Also Chain J.H. Anderson was the first burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Now as to why Johnathan is on the tombstone of JOHN that is buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery Shelby Co.Tx. is a question yet to be answered. John and Jonathan Chain Anderson were named after their grandfathers.John Anderson was named after his grandfather John Bodine. Jonathan was named after his grandfather Jonathan "Old Shelby" Anderson. These two guy's have been mixed up for years. I have more records if anyone would care to have them.
