L. Roueche Dies; Rites Scheduled
Final rites are scheduled at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Petterman-Roberts Funeral Chapel for Lewis M. (Luke) Roueche Jr., 77 of 303 Permian, who died last night at Llano Estacado Medical Center after suffering a stroke last March.
Officiating ministers will be Dr. John Carpenter of First Methodist Church and the Rev. Amos Gaume of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in Prairie Haven Cemetery.
Roueche, who had lived here most the past 38 years, was a retired purchasing agent for Badger Bit and Specialty Co. He was a member of Woodmen of the World.
Born Dec. 26, 1896 at Sonora, Tex., he was married to Lola Pinyon Feb. 23, 1914 at San Angelo.
Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Nina Bell of Hobbs; two sons, Vincent and L. M. Roueche Jr. of Hobbs; a sister, Mrs. Nannie Wilson of Sonora; a niece, Lila Mae Witff of Sonora; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Howard Bell, Kenneth Wofford, Ray Gracia, Melvin Necaise, Robert Betts, Antonio Cervantes, Willie Smith and Hugh Beard.
