An non-profit insurance society with fraternal lodge features that help people form all walks of life. The Woodmen of the World emblem is a sawed-off tree stump, often with a mallet or beetle, an ax, and a wedge: the motto "Dum, Tacet Clamat" (Though Silent He speaks") usually appears somewhere around the border. These Woodmen emblems are in the United States, but the major areas is in the South and Midwest.
