Clay Sanvern McCullough, a resident of Shell Knob, MO. was born January 17, 1924 in Viola, Missouri, a son of William Turner and Allie (Meadows) McCullough. He departed this life Sunday, January 13, 2008 in Berryville, at the age of 83.
Mr. McCullough was a veteran, having served our country in the US Army during WWII. Mr. McCullough was a dairy farmer. He also raised wild turkeys for the Missouri Conservation Department. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On December 6, 1946, he was united in marriage to Fern Moore who survives him of the home. He is also survived by three sons; Alan McCullough and wife LaDenna of Berryville, AR; Lloyd McCullough and wife Debra, Irvin McCullough and wife Connie, all of Viola, MO; one daughter, Laveta and husband James Sherwood of Viola, MO., one brother, 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral Services were Friday, January 18, 2008 at Viola Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Renfrow officiating.
