Virgina A. "Ginny" Almy-McCoy (Beck) Lansing MI. Age 87, went to be with her LORD on Jan 28,2009. Ginny was born Sept. 28, 1921, the daughter of Claude w. and Alta (Pardee) Beck of rural Alma MI. She attended a one-room county school, graduating from Alma High School in 1938. Ginny retired in 1984 from Michigan Farm Bureau as a supervisor of the member records section after 26 yrs. of service. Ginny, as she was known by many, loved her family, friends, and her church. She was always ready with a smile and a helping hand wherever and whenever needed, volunteering with many organizations. She was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where she served on a number of boards and committees. In 1943 she married Alfred M. Almy and moved from Alma to a farm Southwest of Lansing, residing there for 36 yrs. Al was called to his heavenly home Feb. 1975. Later in 1980, she married Charles R. McCoy and moved to Lansing MI. and she was widowed in June 1988. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Jack and Basil. Surviving are her son, Alan (Barbara) Almy; grandsons, Andrew (Kirstie) Almy, and Erick (Jennifer) Almy; 3 great-grandsons and 1 great-grandaughter; Stepson, M. Chandos (Renee) McCoy; stepgrandsons, Chas and Chrisian McCoy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and neighbors.
