Gayla Marie Palmer, age 51, left this earth to be with Jesus early Sunday morning, June 20, 2004. Gayla spent the last few days of her life surrounded by her loving family and friends. Her delightful sense of humor and great courage were evident even during those last days. Gayla came into this world on February 16, 1953, much to the joy of her parents, Robert and Shirley Palmer. As she grew, her love of animals and all living plants grew with her. Gayla was an avid reader and loved puzzles. Her favorite hobby was crocheting beautiful afghans and doilies that she enjoyed giving to family and friends. Several years ago Gayla purchased a computer and quickly learned her way around the world of the Internet. Corresponding with the many wonderful friends she met from all over the country was one of her greatest joys.

Gayla is survived by her parents of Forsyth, MT., her beloved soul mate and partner Donnell ( Hippie ) Barstad of Billings, his sister Dava Barstad also of Billings, her aunts Helen Palmer of Forsyth and Dona Palmer of Deer Lodge, numerous cousins and all of her friends.

Services will be held Thursday, June 24th at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church of Forsyth. Memorials for Gayla may be made to the charity of your choice.
