Kirkland Green, 81, died at 9:30 PM Monday at his home, 304 Hooper St. He was a retired carpenter and concrete finisher.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete as to time, but services will be held at Ridgeway Morticians. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.

James Kirkland Green, son of the late William and Parlee Newsom Green, was born Feb. 17, 1895, in Henry County. His first wife, the former Ruth Wynn, died in 1956. He later married the former Mildred Kennon on Dec. 4, 1957, and she survives. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Besides his widow, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Nathan (Frances) Moody of Dearborn, Mich.; six sons, Charles L. Green of Paris, Lawrence Green of Huntingdon, Bill Green of Lincoln Park, Mich., Wyatt Green of Warren, Mich., Wendell Green of Taylor, Mich., and Alphis Green of Sterling Heights, Mich.; four stepsons, Guy Wilson of Gleason, James Wilson of Oklahoma City, Okla., Dorris Humphreys of Belvidere, Ill., and Billy Ray Humphreys of Paris; six sisters, Mrs. Rosie Guthrie, Mrs. Ida Holland, Mrs. Elsie Drohomer and Mrs. Juanita Smith, all of Paris, Mrs. Launa Wynn of Detroit and Mrs. Katherine Lee of East Detroit; two brothers, Daniel Green of Paris and Robert E. Green of Lake Wales, Fla.; 28 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Myrtice, died Dec. 12, 1919.

Funeral services for James Kirkland Green, 81, of 304 Hooper St., were to be held at 2:30 PM today at Ridgeway Morticians. Lloyd Stephens and Curtis Ross were to officiate and burial was to be in Palestine Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Clement Holland, Raymond Winters, Joe Burnette, Clifford Wade, Carl McDaniel and Jerry Burnette.

A retired carpenter, Green died at 9:30 PM Monday at his home. His wife, Mrs. Mildred Kennon Green, survives.
