He was preceded in death by his parents; three infant daughters - Mary Frances, Margaret Alice & Myrtle Elenora; and one infant son - William Henry.
He was an ordained minister of the Brotheren (Bretheren) Church in Indiana and then moved to Kansas in about 1881. He and his family settled in Barton County, Missouri in about 1890.
