She was born May 1, 1926, in Topeka, the daughter of Benjamin B. and Ana L. Ropp Lillard. She lived most of her life in Topeka.
Mrs. Hafner was a member of Assumption Catholic Church.
She married Valentine A. "Tiny" Hafner on June 5, 1946, in Topeka. He died Jan. 12, 1989.
Survivors include two daughters, Jo Michael, Silver Lake, and Jan Howard, Topeka; two brothers, Harold Lillard, Warrensburg, Mo., and Richard "Pete" Lillard, Stockton, Calif.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka.
Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery.
Mrs. Hafner will lie in state after 9 a.m. Friday at the mortuary. The casket will remain closed.
