Drake,Gerald Dewight, age 78, passed away Aug. 27,2001, in Sylmar.

He was a native of Council Bluff,Iowa and a resident of the Antelope Valley since 1972. He was a member of the Lancaster ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and retired from Rockwell International after many years of the Aerospace industry.

He is survived by three daughters and one son, Candi, Christy, Susanne and Walter Drake; two step-daughters and two step-sons, Anthony, Kelly, Gorden, Bonnie; four sisters and one brother, Elnora Wihife, Risa Saunders, Ronald Marshall,Chris Thomas and Vernon Marshall; 21 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Ann Drake, on March 26,2000, and by his brother, Mickey Marshall.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept 1, 2001 at the Lancaster Ward Chapel of Latter-day Saints,1701 East Lancaster Blvd., with a visitation one hour before service time at the church.

Private intermant will take place at Riverside National Cemetery, Funeral arrangment inder the direction of Halley-Olsen-Murphy Memorial Chapel, Lancaster, California.
