Dr. Chauncey Hager Funeral On March 23 At Denver, Colorado
Services were held Mar. 23 in Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church in Denver for Dr. Chauncey A. Hager, 56, who died Saturday, March 19, 1966.
Dr. Hager a practicing physician and surgeon in Denver 27 years, was born in Ord, June 26, 1909. He was graduated from Ord High School, the University of Nebraska and the University of Nebraska Medical School in Omaha. He served his internship at Bellevue Hospital, New York City, N.Y., and trained in surgery at Lahey Clinic, Boston, Mass.
He was a medical officer in the Southwest Pacific during WW II.
He came to Denver after completing his training and married Yolanda Grinager, Dec. 31, 1945. He served on the Presbyterian Hospital medical staff for 27 years.
He was a member of the Denver Medical Society, the Colorado Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons and NU Sigma Nu medical fraternity. An elder at Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church, he also was a member of the Jackson Camera Club and a director of the Sportland YMCA.
He is survived by his widow; three sons, Lloyd, Douglas and Robert Hager and three daughters, Shannon, Jane and Margaret Hager, all of Denver, and a sister, Mrs. W. Kurt Miller, Greeley, Colo.
