Hopper, Mary nee Davis (1833-1899 –wife of John Hopper –daughter of Thomas Davis and Catherine O’Rourke –born Ireland –after her husband’s death on May 12, 1888, Mary remained at the homestead farm centered at 22608 US Highway 151 in Section 17, Town of Eaton –this homestead house and 100 acre had been willed to her son Mathias –on Aug. 24, 1892 Mary purchased this house and 100 acres back from her son Mathias and then promptly sold it on Oct. 26, 1892 to Gregor and Josepha Stahl –on Oct. 10, 1892 purchased the 80 acres of the E1/2 of the SE1/4 plus the 20 acres of the W1/2 of the SE1/4 of the NW1/4 of Section 17, Town of Eaton from her son George Hopper –on Jan. 10, 1896 sold these 100 acres to Ole Tollefsen –Mary then moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where many of her children lived) –buried at the Fairview Cemetery in Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Colorado
