Kathleen Burdick
SPRINGFIELD — A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1533 Market St. in Springfield for Kathleen Jo "Kathie" Burdick of Springfield. She died Feb. 2 of complications of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. She was 59. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today, Feb. 6, at Buell Funeral Chapel in Springfield.
She was born Jan. 15, 1950, in Pocatello, Idaho to Forrest and Helen Bates Strawn. She married Richard Burdick on Feb. 29, 2000, in Eugene.
She attended Pocatello High School in Idaho and South Eugene High School. She was a certified nursing assistant and caregiver.
Survivors include her husband; her stepfather, Wallie Reade; four children, Jo Frey of Eugene, Teresa Frey and James Burdick, both of Springfield, and Rochelle Buchanan of Cottage Grove; three siblings, Roberta Higley of Las Vegas, Dan Reade of Springfield and Steve Reade of Portland; and 12 grandchildren.

Gravesite Details
Mom's ashes were buried beneath her baby sister's headstone, beside their mother. We strongly believe that all three of them would approve.
