A retired master chief petty officer with the U.S. Navy and a Louisiana state employee, he died early Friday morning, Jan. 30, 2009, at age 58. He was a resident of Brusly and a native of Jackson, Mich. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home in Plaquemine on Monday, Feb. 2, from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m. Entombment in Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Survived by his spouse of 31 years, Veronica Wille Aukerman, Brusly; and daughter, Michelle Lynn Aukerman and fiancé Richard Bolotte, both of Brusly. Preceded in death by his son, Chad Paul Aukerman; and father, Leonard Aukerman.
