A pipefitter with Volks Construction and a resident of Central, he passed away at 2:23 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009. He was 49 and a native of Plaquemine. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, on Monday, Jan. 5, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by Frank Manguno, pastor, assisted by John Moyers, pastor. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. Survived by his wife of 20 years, Kathryn Molesky Voisin; mother, Annie Voisin Gilchrist; five daughters, Jenny V. Dupuy and husband Micah, and Samantha, Taylor, Irene and Lauren Voisin; son, Charles Eddie "Charlie" Voisin Jr.; sister, Jyl Ann Voisin; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Martin "Russell" Voisin, George Gilbert and Neldres Voisin, and John "Inky" and Mary Voisin; grandchild, Leah Dupuy; two aunts, Ida Mae Voisin and Lois Voisin; and uncle, Silas Horton. Preceded in death by his father, Martin Louis "John" Voisin; grandparents, George and Josephine Voisin and John W. and Louisiana Horton; and uncles. Pallbearers will be Maxwell "Binky" Allen, Byron Magliolo, John "Lil Ink" Voisin Jr., Thomas McQuiston, Jacques Voisin and Micah Dupuy. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Voisin and Charlie Voisin. He was an avid fisherman. Special thanks to Debbie Smith at LSU Earl K. Long Medical Center, Dr. Tutoro of LSU Medical Center of Shreveport and Hospice of Baton Rouge for their excellent care and services. Thanks to the many friends for their love, support, prayerfulness and contributions.
