Peter James Boucher
Clyo - Peter James Boucher, 65, died Sunday, July 2, 2006 at Effingham Hospital surrounded by his family and friends.

The Massachusetts native retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years of service.

He retired from GA Ports Authority after 23 years and was employed as Captain of Security for Guardsmark at Elba Island.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield and was the Rider Educator for Chapter E-2 Goldwing Road Riders Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul James Boucher and Theresa Gerrard Boucher, his son, Gary Boucher.

Survivors include his wife, Penny Boucher of Clyo; two daughters, Cindy Powell (William) of Brooklet and Beverley Mooney of Rincon; two sons, Richard Boucher (Kim) of Hinesville and Brian Boucher (Gail) of Meldrim; two step-children, Jaimie Davis (Heidi Barnwell) of Clyo and Charles Davis (Melody) of Clyo; two brothers, Paul Boucher, Jr. (Dorothy) of Memphis, TN and Russell Boucher of Doerun; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at First Baptist Church of Springfield with Rev. Jeff Rollins officiating.

Mr. Boucher will lie in state from 9 a.m.

Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim.

Remembrances may be given to American Heart Association, 103 N. Cedar Street, Springfield, GA 31329.
