Sherri Lynne Anderson, 45, Lamar, Mo., passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at her home in Lamar. Sherri was born June 19, 1963, in Lamar. She was a member of the graduating "Class of 1981" of Jasper High School. She was the manager of Sharon's Restaurant in Jasper, and attended the First Baptist Church in Jasper. Sherri married Jay Anderson in Miami, Okla., on July 19, 1985. Survivors include her husband, Jay, of the home; one son, Hayden Anderson and wife, Jessica, of Tulsa, Okla.; one daughter, Nakota Anderson and fiance, J.T. Ortner, of Carthage, Mo.; two grandchildren, Brentin and Korbin Anderson and two on the way; her mother and stepfather, Sharon and Tommie "Pops" Cox, of Jasper; her father and stepmother, Billy and Dru Townsend, of Joplin, Mo.; brother, Michael and Kenda Townsend and nephew, Zac Townsend, of Golden City, Mo.; a cousin, Shane McCorkle, of Springfield, Mo.; and a host of friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Howard and Margaret McCorkle; and one nephew, Kevin Townsend. Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 7, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Jasper, with Pastor Greg Gooch officiating. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church in Jasper. Burial will be in the Carl Junction Cemetery in Carl Junction. Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz-Warden Funeral Home in Lamar.
