Edward Magruder and his family resided at "Union Valley" in Bladensburg, Prince George's County, Maryland. He was buried at the Magruder Family Cemetery. In the 1960s, he was disinterred along with other family members and reburied at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery. The cemetery regulations did not allow his gravestone to be moved so his grave now has a plain marker.
