BETTENDORF - Funeral services for Edwin R. (Jack) -Townsley, 63, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the McGinnis Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Jack Townsley died at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday at St. Lukes Hospital, Davenport.

Officiating will be Rev. James Clark. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Friday.

Jack Townsley was born Dec. 27, 1911 at Cranston, the son of Clyde and Mae Townsley. His marriage to Wilma Teel took place Dec. 1933, at Ironton, Ohio. He was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, served on the board of education at Riverdale for three years and was a volunteer fireman at Riverdale. He had been employed at the Alcoa plant, Bettendorf, 23 years.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Raymond of Huntsville, Ala; three grandchildren; four brothers, Leonard of West St. Paul, Minn.; Roger and Ward both of Springfield, Ohio, and Donald, Des Moines; five sisters, Mrs. George Dickey of Des Moines, Mrs. Francis Campbell, Mrs. William Chance, Mrs. Esther Palmer and Mrs. Lois Miller, all of Washington.
