Doris was born to Myron Elmer and Pearl E. Bedenbender Ebey; she married Donald L. Taflinger on January 12, 1957 in Edina, Missouri. He survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Judy June (Kenny) Batterton, Brenda Kay (John K.) Robinson and Tammy Burton; one son, Tim Duane (Vanneta) Taflinger; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by one brother, William Ebey and one sister, Wilma Mason.

She was a well known seamstress and retired from the McDonough County Health Department.
