Emma Gaskins Adams
Emma Gaskins Adams, 76, of Howell, died on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at South Georgia Medical Center.
She was born November 13, 1932 in Nashville, a daughter of the late Walter and Ruby Rowe Gaskins. For 33 years Mrs. Adams was employed as the Office Manager at Liberty National. She was of the Baptist faith. She was predeceased by three brothers, Hubert, Brenson and Jesse Gaskins.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ethridge "Junior" Adams; two sons, Charles E. Adams of Statenville, and Freddy L. and wife Kathy Adams of Albany; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Eula Mae Brown of Dupont, Betty Jean Tumbleston of Eustis, Fla., Imo Jean Smith of Sebring, Fla., and Wanita Cameron of Leesburg, Fla.; and five brothers, Leo Gaskins of Wachula, Fla., Denzil Gaskins of Franklin, N.C., Lincoln Gaskins of Alapaha, Kenneth Gaskins of Naylor, and James Gaskins of Arcadia, Fla.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2009 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Mayday.
Officiationg was Rev. Royce McCurdy.
Burial followed in Brushy Creek Cemetery in Cook County.
