John Curtis McFarland, 78, of Hawthorne, died Thursday, November 4, 1999, at Shands at AGH.
He was born in Ashland, Ky. and came here from Harrodsburg, Ky. in 1975. He was a retired Heating and Air Condition Contractor and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the D.A.V. and the Woodlawn Baptist Church of Johnson.
Survivors include his daughters, Janice Reeves of Harrodsburg, Ky., Minerva Heckman of Seffner, Fla., and Rebecca Lovell and Jo Ellen Strunk, both of Hawthorne; son, John W. McFarland of Hawthorne; brother, Don McFarland of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; sisters, Margaret Baldwin of Sturgis, Mich.; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Eliam Cemetery in Melrose with Rev. Charles Litzell officiating.
