VIRGINIA COOPER HALL, 92, died February 4, 2009, at her home in Bella Vista, AR. She was born March 2, 1917 in Earle, AR to Claude and Mintie Machen Greenwood Cooper. She was raised and educated in Marion, AR. She attended the University of Arkansas where she was a member of Chi Omega. She married Dr. Hillard W. Otey of Memphis on June 24, 1937, who died December 20, 1939. On January 9, 1945 she married Dr. James B. Hall, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, who died April 10, 1973. In addition, she was preceded in death by Edith and Daisy Cooper who died in infancy; Minta Greenwood Parker, Mary Greenwood Hall, John Alfred Cooper, Sr., Dr. Claude Wesley Cooper, Sally C. Cateltt, Audrey C. Allen, and Hazel C. Blackwood. Survivors include her son, Hillard W. Otey, Jr. of Conway, AR, Dr. E.M. Cooper of Tellico Village, TN, and Mrs. E. F. Bibb, Jr. of Beckley, WVA. She is also survived by many friends and relatives who mourn her loss. She was a member of the First Methodist Church Lovely Purchase Chapter DAR and the Francis Honorary Chapter Colonial Dames, and 17th Century and Ancient Planters. Her main interests were art and genealogy. Graveside services will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery in Memphis, TN, on Saturday, February 7, at 1:30 p.m. with The Reverend Mrs. Emma Connolly of St. Johns Episcopal Church. A memorial service will be held at the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista, AR at a later date. Memorial may be made to the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel, P.O.
