She was born in Lancaster, S.C. on Sept. 12, 1944, daughter of the late William Nie and Corrine Kendall Bigham.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Junior Lyles, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, William and Marie Lyles of Stanley, Randy and Cindy Lyles of Kings Mountain; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Joe Childers of Bessemer City; sisters, Mae Ford of Spencer Mountain and Pat Chapman of Bessemer City; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchil-dren.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Greene Funeral Service -West Chapel in Gastonia with Rev. Bobby Gilley and Rev. Sam Barnette officiating. Visitation will be from 7 until 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery in Bessemer City.
