The relatives and friends of John W. Abbott are invited to attend his funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Tuesday morning, December 18, 2001, at 11 o'clock. Interment, Carolina Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, Monday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock.
Mr. Abbott was born in Charleston, S.C., the son of William R. Abbott, Jr., and Betty Ann Cumbee Abbott. He attended First Baptist Church of Johns Island.
Surviving are his parents of Johns Island, S.C.; two grandmothers, Elise N. Cumbee of Johns Island, S.C., and Dorothy S. Abbott of East Meadows, N.Y.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children's Hospital Fund, Cardiology Research, 165 Ashley Ave., Charleston, S.C. 29425.
