Joseph Adamezyk
Joseph “Hot Dog Joe” Adamezyk, 87, of Nahunta, died
Tuesday, Feb. 17, in the Satilla Regional Medical Center in
Waycross following a lengthy illness.

A native of Newark, N.J., he had worked in maintenance
with Union Carbine and was the owner of Joe’s Dog House
restaurant in Nahunta.

His parents were Theofole and Antionette Lezenski
Adamezyk. He was also preceded in death by his first wife,
Mary Adamezyk.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Carolyn Rhoden
Chancey Adamezyk of Nahunta; two daughters, Jean Haynes
of Nahunta and Marie Huminski (Robert) of Woodsfield,
N.H.; a grandson, Robert Michael Huminski, and several
nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. On Thursday, Feb. 19,
at the Nahunta Church of God with the Rev. Charles Florey
and Rev. Hugh Arnold officiating. Burial followed in the New
Hope Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Charles Chancey, Paul Morgan, Eddie
Jones, Valdez Morgan, Jim Harvison and Jim Huskey.
Arrangements were made with the Chambless-Frye
Funeral Home of Nahunta.
