Audrey M. Allen, 80, of Arkansas City, died Wednesday (October 1, 2008) at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice at Via Christi - St. Francis Campus. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday (October 4, 2008) at the Hillcrest Bible Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Parker Cemetery.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Audrey was born June 28, 1928 in Enid, Oklahoma to Aubrey R. and Edna Ruth Alice (Boulauget) Raymond. She was reared and educated in Enid and Wichita. She married Robert A. Allen in Wichita. Audrey worked many years as an O.B. Tech at the Arkansas City Memorial Hospital (SCKRMC). Her last several years there she worked as a ward clerk for the ER. After her retirement she worked at the high school in the lunch room.

Audrey was a longtime member of the Hillcrest Bible Baptist Church, where she served for so many years. Known by "Ninn" at church, she was always glad to give any "motherly advice" for babies.

Survivors include her children, Lila Ruth Allen of Arkansas City, Robert D. Allen, Bruce E. Allen of Joplin, Missouri, Lewis A. and his wife Bonnie Allen of Arkansas City, Juanita Alice and her husband Gary Petersen of Arkansas City, Teresa A and her husband Nathan Benton, III of Combine, Texas; thirteen grandchildren Cathy and her husband Eric Page, Chris and her husband Jon Rothell, Stacie Allen, Brian Petersen, Paul Petersen, Melanie and her husband Kevin Hartley, Kevin Allen, Kelly Allen, Kory Allen, Annette Benton, Alyssa and her husband Jeff Grubbe, Jeffery Benton and Sheila Wilson; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert in 1997, brothers Junior, Howard, Russell, and Clifford Raymond and an infant brother, sister Virginia Hallock.
A memorial has been established with the Hillcrest Bible Baptist Church Nursury, that she loved so much. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
Arrangements are being made through Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home of Arkansas City.
