Also called "Ret Carr". He was the husband of Sarahette Bennett, who died 15 July 1890, and is buried at Morris Quaker Cemetery. He was the father of Rose, Della, Nellie, William H.,George W., John, Harvey, and Henry Carr.

i Erastus A. Carr
The sudden d e a t h of E r a s t u s A. Carr,
a well known resident of New Lisbon
occurred Monday night, November 1st,
at ,the home of his son, George W. Carr.
He, had been ill only since Friday.when
he suffered an a t t a c k of h e a r t trouble;
on Sunday he came t o t h e son's where
he could be t a k e n care of. Only a few
minutes before he passed away he had
been talking with his daughter-in-law
and had appeared as well a s usual. He
was sixty-nine years of age. Surviving
him are three daughters: Mrs. John
Pegg of Morris, Mrs. William Southworth
of Now Lisbon, Mrs. Granville
J e s t e r of Otego; two sons, William of
Little Falls and t h e one above mentioned,
also two sisters, Mrs. James
Sutton of Otego and Mrs. Eliza Dakin
of New Berlin and t wo half-brothers,
Luther Card of Otego and William Card
of Morris. The funeral was held from
the house on Wednesday a t 1 p. in., the
Rev. F. G. Leonard of ..iorris officiating
with interment at Morris.
