Henriette was a daughter of Horatio N. and Catherine Augusta (Phelps) Ferguson. She never married and resided with a brother George on the family farm. Both died within a day of each other secondary to pneumonia.

Brother, Sister Die on Same Day from Pneumonia. Double Funeral for Burgess Couple to be Held Tuesday.
Pocohontas, Monday- Stricken with Pneumonia, Miss Harriett Ferguson aged 71 and her brother George Ferguson, age 69 of southwest of Millersburg near Hesse School, passed away within a few hours of each other Sunday. Miss Ferguson was taken to St. Joseph's hospital at Highland Saturday afternoon in the Hall ambulance, where she passed away about 1am Sunday. Her brother who was ill at the home followed her in death at 7pm Sunday.
Double funeral services will be conducted at the Hall Funeral Home in Pocohontas at 1pm Thursday. The Rev. Fred C. Mery officciating. Interment will be made at the File Cemetery.
The aged couple lived on a farm 2 1/2 miles SW of Millersburg and little concerning them was available today. They are said to have a sister in Kansas City but this could not be verified.
