RESIDENT OF LODI AREA VICTIM OF HUNTING ACCIDENT
Conrad L. Seibel, vineyardist and resident of Lodi and Acampo for the past 31 years was accidently killed Saturday morning, while deer hunting above Mountain Ranch, by a gun which his son-in-law, Gerald I. Villegas, was carrying.
Mr Seibel was born in South Russia July 4, 1882 and came to the United States with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Seibel when a boy of 10.
He resided in North and South Dakota where he married Carolina Beglau, then moved to California in 1920.
He entered the real estate business with late John Helwig here in Lodi. In 1927 her retired from real estate and moved to his ranch on Jahant Rd. where he lived the past 24 years.
He is survived by his widow, Carolina; two sons, G. C. and Albert Seibel, of Lodi; four daughters, Mrs. Martha Neves, Sacramento; Mrs. Pearl Villegas, Stockton; Mrs. Dorothy Vahanian, San Francisco and Mrs. Marian Johnson, Lodi.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; Three brothers, John and George Siebel of Lodi; and Henry Seibel of Saskatchewan; three sisters, Mrs. C. K. Seibel and Lydia Jauch, both Lodi; and Mrs. Emma Rienke, Saskatchewan.
Services will be held in the chapel of the Wells Funeral Home at 1pm tomorrow with Rev. H. H. Epp, of the Mennonite Brethren Church of Lodi officiating.
Interment will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park with the Hermann Soas Lodge of Lodi, of which he was a member for 28 years, in charge of grave side rites.
