Eugene V. Baker, 69, of the 9200 block of Mason Creek Road, a retired Navy chief warrant officer, died September 23, 1991, in a hospital.

Mr. Baker was born in Norfolk. He had retired from the Navy after 28 years and had also retired from W.D. Sams Plumbing & Heating Co. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey Zulauf Baker; two daughters, Linda B. Hill and Jean B. Cabaniss, both of Norfolk; and four grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church by the Rev. Lou Ruoff. Burial with military honors will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Homeless Haven, c/o Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
