Lawrence A. McKeown, 85, Salina, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000, at his home.

Mr. McKeown was born Oct. 9, 1915, at Ellinwood and was a Salina resident since the early 1940s. He had been a construction superintendent, working for Busboom and Rauh for many years, and then Wilson Constructors, both of Salina, retiring in 1977. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church and the Carpenters Local 1095, both of Salina.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille of the home; a son, Al of Napa, Calif.; two daughters, Betty McCullagh of Union City, Calif., and Sharon Martinez of Salina; two sisters, Agnes Davis of Las Vegas and Ellen Kuithe of Houston; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, the Rev. Kerry Ninemire officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina or to the donor's choice.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
