The funeral was at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Alexander Middleton officiating. Burial followed in Hortense Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy B. Parsons Middleton of Brunswick; two sons, Alexander Middleton of Orlando, FL, and Charles R. Middleton of Rockville, MD; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Middleton was a native of Wayne County and had lived in Glynn County since 1964. He retired as a civil service employee at Naval Air Station, Glynco, and was a U.S. Navy veteran who served during World War II. He was the son of the late Charles Lawson Middleton and Margaret Mae "Maggie" Jones Middleton.
