Lance graduated from Cave Spring High School in 2003 and from the University of Richmond in 2007 with a B.S. in finance. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, percussionist in the University of Richmond Brazilian Music Ensemble and drummer in several local bands. In high school he was President of the Chess Club, first chair percussionist in the marching band drumline, member of the varsity tennis team and tutor at the Presbyterian Community Center. He was voted Best Personality in his senior class.
Upon graduation from college, Lance worked for Bon Secours Richmond Health System as a Reimbursement Analyst in Fiscal Services. Lance loved his supervisors, Gary Alston and Eddie Phibbs, and their support of his development was greatly appreciated by Lance and his family.
Lance's family would like to thank all who touched his life including MCV ICU Hospital staff who provided excellent medical care, kindness and compassion.
Lance is survived by his parents, Steve and Debby Moore; his sister, Lauren; grandmother, Helen K. Crumpacker; aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Crumpacker Jr., Dr. and Mrs. Donald R. Brown, Mr. and Mrs. William C. Moore, Mr. and Mrs. Charles N. Moore Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Jack Daniel; cousins, Nick and Treva Collins, Sharon Crumpacker, Jay and Jessica Crumpacker; and many other loving cousins.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2009, at Covenant Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robert and Dusty Fiedler officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2009, from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131.
