*ALERT: it is intresting that Abraham and Margaret are not together in the 1900 or 1910 census, shown to be widow and widower, even though both were living. They appear together in 1920.

In 1900 Margaret is shown as Head and a widow with 5 of their 9 children. In 1910 OK - Abraham is shown as widower, with three of their sons, two of whom were with Margaret in 1900, and Margaret shown in MO with three of their ch, plus Auto/Alva, shown as "son".

The one descrepency with the children is the "Auta E. Gregg age 24 (assumed to be Alva E) in the 1910 & 1920 census is not with Margaret in the 1900 census. However, the children in 1900 were listed in order of age, and Alva/11 came after Bessie, born 1894, and Abraham Alva, who would have been 11, was not shown. The census taker may have mixed the entries up, especially if both boys were called Alva, and only entered one of them. However, if that was the case, Margaret shoul have indicated she had 10 children, not 9.

Abraham appears in 1850 and 1860 Creighton, Cass Co., age 6 and 15, as GRAGG (not Gregg), with middle initial "A", with parents Isaac and Catherine and siblings Aaron, Elizabeth, Nancy, Sarah J., John N., George, Isaac and Jacob N.
