The son of Sherman Albert and Bertie Hunt Huffman, was born in Claremore, OK. His father was a teacher at the Oklahoma Military Academy. He grew up and attended school there, graduating from Claremore High School in 1947. He attended Spartan School of Aeronautics and went to work for McDonnell Douglas in Tulsa. In later years he was employed with the Tulsa Public School System in custodial services. He retired in 1984, and then returned to Claremore, his childhood home. He was known for his love of a good cigar and his extensive model train collection. He was an avid model railroader. Services were held Thursday at 11:30 am in Rice Funeral Chapel. He is survived by his daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter.
