BRIGHAM CITY – Born on September 11, 1915, our much loved mother and granny passed away on Monday, August 4, 2008 from causes incident to age surrounded by the family she loved and cherished.

She was born in Brigham City, Utah, a daughter of Albert and Luella Jensen Dixon.

Marjorie married Kennard W. Anderson on June 1, 1940 in Brigham City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on August 7, 2000.

Marge worked at the Old Fruit Growers, North Main Furniture, Brigham Furniture and Larson Bros. Plumbing retiring in 2000 at the age of 84.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loyally and graciously served any and all callings in the church that were asked of her.

She was a charter member of Credit Women International and served in various leadership positions.

Marge enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, bowling, cooking, baking and doting on her family. She single-handedly kept Avon in business and she was a loyal Atlanta Braves fan.

She is survived by her daughter, Judi and her husband, Allen Perry and their children, Chris Perry and his wife, Carolyn and their children, David and Samantha; Stacy and Dr. Carter Rae and their boys, Dalan (Ashley), Brennan and Kipp; Alisa Wolcott and her daughter, Amanda.

She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas, and survived by his children, Kurt Anderson; Amber (Eric) Sleight and their children, Karsten, Kendal, Kallee; Angela (Graham) Mitchell, and their children, Emerson and Atticus.

She is also survived by her brothers, Keith (Charlene) Dixon and Glen (Dee) Dixon. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son, her beloved sister Adele Craven and her brothers, Jim, Homer and Ray Dixon.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Jan Ashdown and the staff at Brigham City Community Hospital for their exemplary care and compassion.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brigham City 5th Ward Chapel, 420 South 800 West. A viewing will be held on Friday, August 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City and at the church on Saturday from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m.
