MRS MARTHA M. KELLER, 89, CAME HERE AS GIRL OF 8

Lived Here During War and Had Many Terrifying Experiences - Funeral Will Be Tomorrow

Mrs. Martha Mildred Keller, 89, widow of Sylvanus Keller, well known resident of the district, died at 6:30 o'clock this morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ed Holdeman, 10 miles northeast of Carthage,
Mrs. Keller had been bedfast the last eight years due to a fractured hip.
Born February 24, 1844 in Kentucky, Mrs. Keller's parents, Mrs. and Mrs. John Bastin, moved to Jasper county when she was eight years old. Her girlhood home was a short distance west of the New Hope school. She was married September 6, 1860 to Sylvanus Keller, who died November 3, 1923 at their home in Kendricktown.
