Mrs. Kirby died Monday, Jan 4, 1999, at her home. She was born March 19, 1930, in Marion County to A.J. and Mary Francis Bobo Downs. She was a member of Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Kirby of Danville; three sons, Brady Ray Kirby Sr. of Columbia, Tenn, Barry Gene Kirby of Phenix City and Carlton Dale Kirby of Atlanta; one daughter, Ralene Sharon Gillespie of Trinity; one brother, Loyd Downs of Basham; two sisters, Nora "Sis" McGee and Sue West, both of Hartselle; and six grandchildren.
Nephews will be pallbearers.
